Your daily caloric deficit will help to dictate how much weight you will lose.
One pound of weight is 3,500 calories.
In order to lose at least one pound a week, you have to have a caloric deficit of 500 calories each day.
You can do these two different ways, through dieting and through exercise.
It is important to try to use dieting and exercising equally to lose weight.
If you can reduce your calories by 250 a day, and then burn off another 250 or 300 at the gym then you will not feel such a loss of those calories and you will being to have a deficit.
If you are only able to reduce your calories by 200 or less, do not let it get you down.
Everyone who loses weight reaches low points.
